Our current Youth in the Spotlight is Courtney Ferry, of Hippity Hoppers Rabbitry.

Here is what Courtney Says:

Hi My name is Courtney Ferry and I am 8 years old. I have been raising and showing Holland Lop rabbits with my parents for the past 4 years. It started out as a project just for me, but now my parents also enjoy showing rabbits! I raise just the orange and frosty colored Hollands and my dad and I are starting a new otter project as well. We will show our otters together in the open class.

One of the the things I like best about going to rabbit shows is seeing all the new friends I have made. I like to play with them at the shows.

Besides showing rabbits, I also like to collect rocks and crystals. I like all the Harry Potter books and movies too. SpongeBob Squarepants is one of my favorite tv shows.

One of my biggest accomplishments this year was winning the Washington State Rabbit Breeders Association royalty contest. I have been working hard at studying what I need to know about rabbits and cavies. My parents are working on taking me to Nationals so that I can compete in the Lady contest there. I can't wait to fly in an airplane!
